is female, it's great to have a strong female character for the kids to look and and enjoy. I love that one of the key characters, who does a heck of a lot butt kicking etc. This is full of action, so the illustrations means there is plenty going on, my son says his favorite part is when the young girl, Emily, used her powers to knock one of the evil cronies off the building. A book that I rather enjoyed though at the time they didn't have the second in the series and though I kept an eye out for it, I soon forgot about it, until I saw it up for review! I showed it to my seven year old and I got a gasp quickly followed by "can I read that!" so I knew he would enjoy it, sure enough, half an hour later I got a groan from him when I told him it was time to get ready for dinner. It's been a few years since I first saw the Amult #1 book on the local library bookshelf and borrowed it to take home and read. so far, I've enjoyed the world-building and the characters the most. This Review: 9.8/10 Price: Value for Money: ReReadability: Personal Choice:

It's fun though! It maybe not bring anything new, other than being a YA graphic novel, but it's quick paced and mysterious and enjoyable. more w in some anthropomorphic animals and steampunk for good measure. It's definitely a pastiche of a lot of fantasy before it- remnants of LotR, some Zelda, little bit of Narnia at the beginning, a hero with a destiny on a quest to save the world. Review 2: So, this series will probably be pretty standard fantasy fare.

The graphics in this novel are amazing! I love he somewhat realistic detail. There has to be a little struggle so the character's can succeed (or this scenario is repeated a number of times that we always think the character/s has to struggle).

In the beginning of the book, I felt like the novel 's story line was a little stereotypical but it was compatible with the story line. Review 1: I thought this was a nice continuation of the amulet series.
